Henniker House Bed & Breakfast Inn

This charming and quaint and country style inn was warm and felt like staying with a familiar family member. Our room had a beautiful view of the river flowing over some boulders. We had everything we needed, including the lovely tea station on the first floor. We enjoyed taking our tea out to the beautiful wooden patio that overlooks the river and the bridge. The inn is within walking distance of the cute town with ice cream shops and restaurants and pizza places. Incredibly scenic and bucolic. The owner makes lovely breakfasts varied each morning. We would definitely stay again. And in fact, encountered a couple who was there for their second visit- it’s the kind of place you will want to return to. Not modern-But all the comfort you need.

Wonderful! I will revisit NH. Alison is so friendly, and the breakfast is so delicious and fresh. The room is clean and has a great view of the riverside. It rained heavily when I stayed this time, so I hope to enjoy the outdoor seating next time.

Alison and Ray could not have been more accommodating. Henniker House is absolutely beautiful, well kept, spotlessly clean. Breathtaking views, fantastic breakfast. This is what a Bed and Breakfast is supposed to be. It was a flawless visit

Alison was absolutely amazing and the house is located in such a great spot. We had a blast and felt like true family guests during our stay! Local food is within walking distance, homemade breakfasts we sooooo good. 100% recommend staying here especially if you’re looking for a Pats Peak ski trip with the family!

We had an excellent 3-night stay at Henniker House--beautiful location backing on the scenic Contoocook River. Henniker is a small and quiet college town, even though it is within a few minutes drive of major highways. Our room was Tooky Nook--spacious with a well-furnished bathroom with exhaust fan and forced air electric heater for the chilly mornings. Private deck overlooking the river. Breakfasts were varied, delicious, and filling. Alison is a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful innkeeper. Ted, the house poodle, is friendly but not a nuisance. A couple of restaurants and a nice bakery are within a couple of minutes walk. I'm an early riser and the bakery opens at 7 a.m., so I was able to get my espresso/cappuccino infusion every morning except Sunday. We hIghly recommend the Henn
