Been coming here for years, the new chef/owner is amazing and talented when it comes to unique styles of food. Very professional and Humble, this will always be my Go To for Halal food but so much more on the menu. Highly recommend

Hello Papa's is a hidden gem on Staten Island for authentic Sri Lankan flavors with a halal twist! Stopped in recently and left super impressed— this spot nails it on food. The egg roti was flaky, perfectly spiced, and stuffed just right; veggie roti and vadai were crispy and addictive with that great onion-chili kick. Tried the Sri Lankan rice with curry (extra curry on the side—thank you!), and it was flavorful, hearty, and not overly heavy.

I ordered pastries from Hello Papas and they were absolutely delicious- fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Everything tasted like it was made with care and quality ingredients. This will definitely be my go-to spot for pastries from now on. Highly recommend!

I ordered two loaves of bread, and they were packed together in a single-use paper bag from a retail store that closed four years ago. The bag appeared to have been used previously, as there were pen scribbles on the inside. The bread was placed directly into the bag and was not wrapped in plastic or any other protective packaging. I’m unsure how the business obtained this bag (as the retail store branded on it closed 4 years ago), but the overall packaging raised concerns about cleanliness and food safety.

Absolutely delicious! The mixed fried rice was packed with flavor, and the savories were simply outstanding. Authentic Sri Lankan taste and wonderful quality – highly recommend this place!
