Helen’s Kitchen really surprised me in the best way. My wife and I stopped in for the first time, and it did not miss a beat. We love Caribbean food, and they definitely know what they’re doing the flavors were on point and everything tasted fresh and authentic. The only thing I can even complain about is that I didn’t get my cocoa bread with my beef patties. By the time I got home and realized it, it was too late. But honestly, it’s a small, humble spot and the food was good enough that I’m not even mad. I’ll just go back and grab it next time. If you’re ever in town and craving some real Caribbean comfort food, give this place a try. It’s worth the stop.

The oxtails & jerk chicken was absolutely delicious!! It was filled with food. We were able to eat it in 2 servings!! The patties & pineapple ginger drink were also very pleasing!! Can’t wait to go back!!

I placed a large order the day before pick up. The food was ready on time. Maybe call the day of to make sure they got your order. I did not even check the food before leaving. The order was correct and delicious. Everyone at the party agreed that the food was amazing. I will be back…plus the guest at the party. I still am thinking about the food the next day.I wish I made a TikTok about my experience but I was in a rush. Hands down the best Jamaican food in Houston. The brown stew red snapper is chefs kiss! It is made to order so it will take about 30-35 min but it is well worth the wait!

Purchased 2 jerk plates with steamed veggies, rice and peas, and plantains. The chicken was not seasoned. It tasted more like baked chicken. I wish it could’ve been better. I prefer Cool Runnings instead. The presentation was great but that’s it.
