Heidel House Hotel & Conference Center

I very much enjoyed my stay - the rooms are clean, the beds are comfy and the view is gorgeous! The best part, however, was the service. Kymberlee helped me print off papers I needed for a conference, and the maintenance crew helped me with a car issue. They were generous and so very kind! I’d recommend this place to anyone!

I expected everything to be "top notch" to match the cost of room rates. Our room was so hot. We turned the temperature in room 1121 down to 64 degrees & it was still so hot we couldn't sleep even though we didn't use the blankets. I'm sure you wonder why we didn't report this to the front desk before we checked out. Well, we arrived just in time for check in, then on to New Years Eve dinner, followed by the performance of FBI band. We expected that after turning the thermostat down, our room would have been cool by the time we returned that evening. When you come back to your room at midnight, the last thing you feel like is calling for maintenance and having to wait or even change rooms. We attended a wedding at the resort and it was held on the grounds by the lake. Every detail was perfect and the weather provided a perfect setting: what's with the gnats?! It was like a tornado of gnats above all our heads lakeside. It was unbelievably distracting and made for a quick getaway when they were pronounced husband and wife. Get me outta there! That was by far the worst and only bad thing about this location. Getting there was a twisty-turny wild ride, but y'all are set back very privately and I can see why - it is beautiful back there and very exclusive. |The hotel was very nice and the registration staffers were wonderful and very helpful in guiding us from bar to wedding to cocktail hour outside to reception to our rooms. Our room was a king bed room and was outstanding! W

The hotel has been updated in the last few years and it’s stunning! The rooms are very spacious and decorated beautifully. The food at Oakwood is always delicious and the breakfast buffet never disappoints. We have family who live in Green Lake, so it is not often we stay at Heidel, but we always go to the restaurant for special dinners or shop at the cute clothes shop off the lobby or just to stop in for a drink and a breathtaking view. The staff are always polite and accommodating.

Great setting. Very friendly, helpful staff. Nicely appointed rooms. Suggestions: On our last stay (room 2105) the bathroom exhaust fan did not have its own switch so in order to have the light on, the very loud fan was running constantly....very annoying. Our bathroom could easily have two or three more towel racks installed to more easily manage the towels we wish to reuse.
