Hayes Seafood House

It was quite busy while we went there. And I don’t understand why. I ordered steamed seafood, surprisingly, it took quite a while to get my table. Maybe it is not the season or for whatever reason, the mussels are so tiny, so were the clams. The lobster roll is decent tho. Considering the price point, I will buy some mussels from wegmans and steam myself instead.

This reminds me of a seafood market/restaurant we visit outside of NY whenever we go see the Yankees. Recommend the Maryland crab cake to order as meal or share amongst a few people as appetizer. There are such few fillers that it falls apart the second the fork touches it. It tasted like the arugula salad had a Dijon vinaigrette. One of a kind taste. None of the seafood was overcooked, the service was impeccable, and we’ll happily return again when we’re in the area. My husband and I ordered the seafood platter with coleslaw and veggies as a side. 10/10 Desserts are made in house. Didn’t remember to take a photo, but the key lime pie reminded me of a summer I spent at my uncle’s house in FL, it was great.

We had lunch here 3 days before Christmas so they had a special limited menu of 6-7 different lobster roll choices and lobster bisque combo. I had the Connecticut lobster roll which was warm. It was very good as was the bisque. It came with a pickle and lemon wedge. It was a little pricy, sort of a rustic atmosphere but overall good.

Our first time here. Food was absolutely fantastic! Calamari was so tender and cooked perfectly! Both Scallops and swordfish were outstanding 👏. We will be back...

First time there. I had broiled scallops dinner. It was amazing. Never had better scallops. Green beans excellent. Wish they had a smaller portion with vegetables option for lunch. Highly recommend!
