Have A Bagel on Bushwick Ave.

I ordered a bagel with tofu instead of cream cheese. I was then served a cream cheese bagel. I was so excited to have tofu on a bagel after not being able to find a nice bagel restuarant that serves tofu as a topping since leaving a certain city I lived in several years ago. Deeply disappointed with the unprofessional behavior of the staff, as when I informed them of the issue I was told to my face that the bagel had tofu on it. I showed them the bagel and I have included a photo of the aforementioned bagel with this review. Never in my life have I been lied to to my face by anyone serving me food so boldly as I was here.

Excellent neighborhood spot for fresh bagels and other breakfast items. We ordered the short stack pancakes with chocolate chips, and we weren’t expecting to get something so tasty. Perfectly crispy fluffy pancakes with a soft warm inside, and chocolate melted across. The lox bagel with bacon scallion cream cheese is the way to go. The bagels are massive and so warm/fluffy as well. Definitely not disappointed.

There is a weird after taste. I’ve ordered both French toast and egg/cheese on a bagel and had the same experience. It taste like cleaning supplies. Who ever is cleaning the grill is using a dirty sponge or not rinsing off the grill properly during cleaning. I really want to support as it’s the closest bagel place near me, but that taste was horrific. Or maybe it’s the eggs, idk.

Come here every so often. Today the woman at the cash register was too busy chatting with her friend that orders were slow and messed up. The woman who took the orders had to come tell her to call the 10 bagels that were sitting on the counter, including mine. Everyone who ordered after me left before me. The woman who took my order came to check on me. The woman at the register did not care, she almost gave me the wrong bagel

Finally open!!! We’ve got a proper bagel shop again. Service was quick and friendly, much lighter interior than what was there before
