Havana Tropical Grill Restaurant

Came here for the steak sandwich for lunch. I was not a fan of it. Not what I'm used to. I'm from Miami and they are much more authentic. I would not get it again. Ambiance was ok with Spanish music playing. Service was good too. Just wasn't my favorite tasting food.

The food had that homemade essence I love. The menu is quite extensive — we ordered the Churrasco Cubano, Ropa Vieja, Pollo Habanero, and the Cuban-style Lomo Salteado (steak and fries). The specialty dishes range between $18–$23 per person, and I’d say the flavor is worth the price. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’d give the service 3.5 stars — it was alright. The tostones and the tropical hot tea were the highlights of the meal. Since it was a rainy Saturday at noon, it wasn’t too packed. It’s a small place, so I imagine it gets full pretty quickly during rush hours, though they do have outdoor seating. I loved the colorful decor and the paintings all around. Hands down the best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had. Bread is perfectly toasted. Pork is incredible tender. Flavors all come together to create an unreal experience. Love love love it! Atmosphere is great as well on the patio! Highly recommend trying this place out!

It's bigger than it seems on the outside. Good food and ambience, but the parking situation within the lot isn't easy to navigate, so you're better off finding Street parking. The sampler appetizers were a great combo of fried plantains, yucca and beef empanadas with dipping sauces.

Our Air B&B host recommend this spot. Our server was wonderful, she took her time to explain each of the dishes she recommended. I don't think you could go wrong here. We really enjoyed our meals.
