What a hidden gem! Hastings Coffee Company was such a pleasant surprise. The staff are incredibly kind — after visiting two days in a row, they even remembered my name. The space feels cozy and welcoming, with a big outdoor area perfect for relaxing. And the food? Wow. These might be some of the best grits I’ve ever had! I’m not much of a coffee drinker, so I really appreciate the non-coffee and food options. I tried the chai latte (solid!) and the piña colada freeze, which was amazing. Well worth the 15-minute drive from St. Augustine — I’ll definitely be back!

You feel the energy when you walk in, very welcoming, fast service with a smile. I can see why they have such high reviews. Everything is ordered was delicious. If I wasn't a hour away I would come here every week. Highly recommend

An AMAZING experience here!! I could feel the love the moment I walked in the door and the entire atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and was greeted like family :-) The background music was sweet praise and Gospel, and I could feel the affection in there, and the customers were smiling as well. The menu was limited but delicious, and I had the coffee, sausage biscuit, and triple-chocolate muffin and all were delicious, and they proudly serve Kookaburra coffee, which is an excellent brand. They also offer pulled pork and chicken salad sandwiches for lunch. This wonderful little place is highly recommended, and is an easy five stars, and I look forward to returning to this wonderful little place! :-)

Stopped here for lunch on March 3, 2026, while biking the trail that runs through town. Had an excellent chicken salad sandwich that came with chips and a refreshing iced tea. Followed that with a delicious red velvet cookie (with both white chocolate and dark chocolate chunks) that was baked on-site and hot out of the oven. The folks who work there are super nice and welcoming. The inside of the shop is lovely as is the back garden. I highly recommend the place for coffee or for lunch.

What a nice little gem here! Staff is very friendly and provide excellent service. Coffee is awesome and my alas was delicious. They use butter head lettuce which sets it apart from other places. Excellent place!
