The hotel lobby had a welcoming setup and the reception handled guest flow efficiently. I noticed they carefully verified booking details before handing over keys, which shows a good process. Maintenance addressed a minor plumbing issue the same day. Service standards were consistent.

Had a great time staying at the Harvey House! My Fiance and I actually got engaged there so it will forever be a special place in our hearts. We stayed in The Garden Room and I will say, the only downside was the bathroom not being closed off and the shower not being fully enclosed. It’s also a very very deep tub so please keep that in mind when reserving. I think we’d like to stay in a different room next time we come. ||Beth is a great host who made a delicious frittata for us for breakfast one morning. Great place to go with you want a more personal feel to your stay!

Harvey House Inn was a great choice for our quick trip to Oak Park. We liked the location (walkable to some good restaurants), the homey atmosphere and the cute kitty who appeared to be a part time doorman! The Chalet Suite was spacious and cozy, and the continental breakfast was surprisingly good. To complement our stay, we watched the kindest movie ever - Harvey (offered by the inn on DVD). It added a very special flavor to our trip and made us go see the Harvey play in the theatre later in the year, which we loved too. Very pleasant stay all in all, would definitely recommend when in Oak Park.

Beth is the consummate hostess! She has literally thought of everything you will need for your stay to make you comfortable. She is very knowledgeable about the Chicago area and gives great feedback on where to go and things to do, if you ask. The house is absolutely lovely and the atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. The L is a few blocks away and so convenient to just hop on and go into down Chicago. Parking is readily available in the front of her house or not far from it. We were so impressed we intend to come back next year and as often as possible! We would highly recommend the Harvey House for your next stay in Chicago!
