Dec 29, 2025 We checked into the Bright angel and walked into the Harvey house for a quick bite. We were given a very lengthy list of food listed on the menu that they were out of. It seems whoever was in charge of ordering food was incompetent as this was not a new situation. We settled on the fish and chips, and it was good. We had breakfast there the next few mornings. That was excellent. great service and good-sized portions.
Mediocre food but excellent service. Ate both dinner and breakfast here. The pot roast was a very small portion for the price and nothing special. The southwest Caesar salad was unique and tasted pretty good, while the molten chocolate cake for dessert was pretty great. Biscuits and gravy were good but the huevos rancheros eggs were flavorless and the tortillas tasted stale. Our waiter at dinner was amazing! He was funny and helpful, digging up a chocolate cake for us even though he thought they had sold out. He also chased us down when we forgot our credit card after paying the bill. Thank you!!
We were famished! We walked into this quaint place and wow it was overlooking the canyon!! Beautiful scene. Breakfast was abundant and very tasty. No wait just walked up. It was around 7:00am and the waitresses were ready for you. Coffee kept flowing and they were by the table several times just making sure everything was 👍 great. It sure was.
Stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon during our visit to the Grand Canyon. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices as to be expected for the tourist area (some items seemed pretty decently priced, while others seemed a little high). -Green Chili Tamales (good quality/taste) -Chips Salsa & Guac (desperately needed seasoning) -Side Southwest Caesar Salad (large portion, good taste) Overall, would recommend for a nice, casual sitdown meal during your break visiting the Grand Canyon.
They get away with regrettable food and poor service because they have a captive audience. There aren’t a ton of dining options in the park. We stopped here for a quick lunch and I wished we’d gotten some snacks at the market instead. We were seated quickly, and at 2pm there was plenty of staff but not many diners. We waited a long time for the waitress amd she seemed surprised when she finally saw us. My black bean soup was barely above room temperature and my husband’s chicken sandwich was falling apart in his hands. The waitress never returned except to bring our check.
