Nice library in a good neighborhood. It's located in somewhat "meh" area in the North End. Thankfully it's not situated in bad crimey areas in the city such as Park Street.

Neighborhood small library with staff representative of the community. Offers free lunch for youth during the summer, computer usage, and family friendly activities. Security guard sits at the entrance to the library, but it is safe and comfy. Ample free parking in Unity Plaza. I would recommend this library for those folks comfortable with the neighborhood.

The library should move to the vacant store next door for needed space. More activities are needed for the kids in the neighborhood after school. Children and maybe more adults would come if the library moved next door for the additional space. There could be more activities after school and maybe the library could also open on Saturdays. The SAND library is a great example of what the Barbour branch could be. The kids who live near it... I've been told.. love their library and the people that work there.😊

I thought librarians had a lot of class but found some of them can be as petty and classless as any street thug. These Librarians took the cake for me. If they take a disliking to you for whatever their petty reasons they can become lowlifes with smiles on their faces and will persuade other Librarians at other branches to do the same. I have never seen a more petty, ignorant people in my life. If I return a book or movie, I find myself being fine because it

It's a small library but the staff are great and very helpful. I have been going there for years. It's sad that they are closed Saturday. It really gave the kids in the community something to do, somewhere to go. They should reconsider reopening on Saturday.
