Service-excellent, seated quickly and our server was great! Food-again, excellent. Half pound burgers for kids. Usually a take home box finish for them but not this time. The calamari starter was very good would recommend. Wife had the shrimp creole which wasnt too spicy but had a kick and was very flavorful. On special was a shrimp and crayfish dish topped with a crispy bread and cheese topping served in cast iron skillet, fantastic. However on the side dish were two wedge shaped fried grit cakes- probably my personal favorite and everyone else's too, absolutely delicious, could eat a dozen of them. Atmosphere-very nice outside seating under the trees surrounded by historic St. Augustine, really doesn't get much better.
We decided to give this place a try. The best part for us was the service. Our waiter was awesome. The food portions were large too. We ate inside and it was a li warm I'm not big on eating seafood but decided to try the blackened redfish. The seasoning was great, but I preferred my wife's red beans and rice.
We had a great experience at Harry's. It was only 42F outside so we ate indoors. Stephen was knowledgeable and attentive. My husband and I both opted for the shrimp and chicken creole. The portions were large and we took some home.It was perfect! We like a bit of spice and this had just the right amount. The bread was soft and tasty and the butter whipped and creamy. We had coffee and it was great. All in all a lovely experience.
Me and my friend went there on our mini vacation. It was nice outside. The service wasn’t flawless but good enough for the busy night. Food was delicious. So much flavour in every plate we had. We ordered scallops with the slaw. Absolutely loved it. Fried green tomatoes, become one of my favorite. The crab soup is must have. Great location. Is not a tourist trap (we were sceptical in the beginning). No regrets. Definitely will go again.
Loved the live band. I got redfish and it was overcooked. The leek rice that came with it was excellent, unsurprising star of the dish. Cute outdoor seating. Also tried the banana and praline pecan creme brûlée. While the flavor was really good, the top was not nearly as torched as it should’ve been. No satisfying crack you expect on a creme brûlée. Felt like it had a lot of potential though because the flavor in the bananas really tied it all together. We had to ask to have waters refilled and had to wave a lot to get the attention of our server.
