Harlie Fulford Library

I grew up in this library! I still have many of my Summer Reading Club certificates/seals from the late 70's/early-mid 80's...when Mrs. Polly Brinson was the librarian. :-) It may be small, but this library is a HUGE (and probably under-used) asset to the Wrightsville community. The last time I visited, I was quite impressed to see how much the library has improved with the addition of several computers for patron use. In a lot of towns across America, smaller libraries have suffered from dwindling funding and subsequent closures. It is a beautiful thing to see that this library -- a major part of the cornerstone of my childhood literacy development -- still stands, still operates and still serves our hometown community.
