We are from out of town, and we were thoroughly impressed not only by the incredible food, but by the genuine hospitality that came with it. Ms. Carla was absolutely wonderful. She was warm, honest, and kept her word on every single detail. My husband and I were passing through Paris, Texas and got hungry. We googled food near by and this gem popped up. We cannot rave about this place enough! The staff, the atmosphere and more so the food! You can feel the southern love in every bite. We will be back soon.

Best collard greens ever. Chicken fried steak was absolute!!!! Service and atmosphere wonderful. Decor very clean and appealing. We're going back before we catch our breath. To think we've passed it a hundred times!

A friend recommended Harlem Nights to me and said it was excellent food. So my wife and I decided to give it a shot and let me tell you, he wasn't lying. The minute we walked through the doors The ladies in the restaurant greeted us, asked us how we were doing, and where as nice as can be. I informed them we have never been there before we were new. They Show us the menu and told us the recommendations on what food they Thought was the best. I ended up going with chicken fried chicken with sweet potatoes and macaroni and cheese and my wife ended up going with chicken fried steak with fried green tomatoes and Macaroni and cheese. When the food came out, it was so hot. We couldn’t even eat it for the first 10 minutes. It was completely fresh and everything was homemade didn’t last very long.

Soul food is about taking simple ingredients and making them taste so good you think of home. This place meets that expectation and exceeds them. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted like we were family. The service was absolutely wonderful and the food! I could write novels at how amazing the food was! Fresh, seasoned, and filling! Portions were so generous that I doubted I could eat it all. But it was too good to leave behind! The porkchop was perfectly seasoned, the Mac and cheese was thick and flavorful, the yams were perfect and the peach cobbler? Reminded me of my grandma's recipe! If you want good food, large portions, and the sensation that you're at home with family, this is the place to go. Whenever I'm in Paris, this will be one of the required places to go.
