Happy Sushi

This place has been through it all for me. Their service is very quick and reliable. This place smells like and feels like home. Going to happy sushi for me is the biggest treat and I always look forward to going at LEAST once a month. Their salmon is really really good.

After our sushi reservation at another place fell through we headed here for Valentine’s day. It was super calming with a great atmosphere. The decor was nice as well, and it was quiet so talking was easy. The menu was extensive, with lots of different rolls and appetizers. The miso soup was super good, probably the best I’ve ever had. The gyoza was delicious too, cooked perfectly. We ordered a few different sushi rolls and they were all delicious. My only complaint was service was super slow. While the ladies were very kind, we got our food after a table who ordered way after us. Definitely will be coming back and this is our new sushi spot!

I wanted so sushi for supper and since I was at the car wash in the complex, I decided to get my normal order of dragon roll sushi. It was about a 10 minutes waiting and it was higher in price than other places. Instead of tempura shrimp, it was the crab salad in the middle. Average at best. Wasn't bad but Busch has better roll. Moving so I won't be back.

A large variety of choices to choose from. Delicious and freshly made sushi. Unique and first time to try pickle sushi. So refreshing and delicious. Novi roll was my favorite that I had. Chicken fried rice was great. Katsu chicken with Curry homemade dipping sauce is so amazing. We had a lot of leftovers to bring home and share. We wanted to try so many different items. Looking forward to return very soon.

On Jan 22, 2026, we ordered our last takeout order from Happy Sushi. I have had, pretty much, the same meal ordered from there for probably the last five years. Shrimp Tempura Roll, and 5 pieces Salmon Nigiri. Our takeout a week ago was different, I noticed. The salmon was actually tough. I thought, maybe, new chef. Maybe sliced wrong ... But. Today, yes, the salmon was tough. Rice not flavorful. But. The Shrimp Tempura Roll smelled. It smelled like dead fish. Bad. We called to let them know, thinking they would appreciate knowing about the problem. But. But the lady who answered the phone just kept repeating, interrupting my husband, saying over and over "no problem, no problem". And then she hung up. Unbelievable. No problem is right. As long as we never return to "Happy Sushi".
