Happy Garden

We have been by this restaurant many times and today we finally got a chance to stop by. It's been months since we had Chinese food and was very much looking forward to it. We ordered a small Chop Suey, an L34 and an L35 from the dinner menu. Service was good and we did not have to wait long for our take-out order. The food was served fresh and hot and I mean hot, not warm! The prices were comparable to other places and the portions were generous. The food were flavourful. However, I thought the beef teriyaki was a little dry and the boneless ribs was a little hard, but not bad. The pork "Chop Suey", crab rangoon, pork fried rice land chicken fingers were all good. Food was pretty bad. My go to place was closed , so I found this location with ok reviews and the pictures of the food looked good. What a waste of money. First, don’t go by the pictures of their food, those are some Getty images or something, as the food bared no resemblance. 1st the wonton soup , pictured in a clear broth (that’s how we like it. So I was down) ended up being a dark brown broth, lots of extra stuff in there but the wontons were not so great …eh. Next, the egg fried rice, also, nothing like the picture….at all, maybe burnt, maybe to much soy sauce. The orange chicken was mushy and mostly dark meat. There was no picture for the bbq boneless pork.. there is a reason for that,…it was, I’m not sure even cooked?…anyway, that was $ down the chute…I think I’ll give up on Chinese

The people are nice but I don't know what happened to the food. It used to be good but I just got a couple of dinner combinations and the teriyaki is so dry it may as well be jerky and the portions are tiny for the price. I will never go there again and you shouldn't waste your money either. VERY DISAPPOINTED !!!!

I was very happy with food. Orange Chicken was one of my favorites as was the hot & sour soup, I will go back just for these items.

First time eating here the egg rolls were overdone and had a burnt taste. Portions were great would have given 5 stars if the egg rolls were not slightly burnt
