Happy Garden Chinese buffet restaurant

The buffet is Great. The service is impeccable, greeted us @ the door, pleasant and kind, just the way it should be. Clean, cleanest place I've seen in a long time. Carpet is really clean as well as the tables. The music was perfect, my wife and I knew all the songs and really appreciated it. Made our whole day. This is a hidden gem 💎 in the Harrison area. I cannot believe I have never eaten here and I've been here in Harrison for years. A must try. 👍🏽💯

Used be favorite place. New owners are horrible. Fried rice is not fried rice is mushy steamed brown rice. Meats have no flavor. And force 10% tip for crappy flavorless mush. None of us finished our waste of money

In a buffet setting, one shouldn't be genuinely scared of what's on offer, and, friends, I absolutely was. The buffet itself is extremely limited, with two small hot bars, one "dessert" bar that I couldn't bring myself to touch the fruit from, and the most baffling, almost assuredly illegal ice cream selection I've ever seen. It's a small deep freezer with..just open tubs of ice cream in it. Seriously, there's no way that meets food safety regulations. If you're not blessed with the constitution of an ox, you're probably better off just avoiding the place. Especially since both items I grabbed with beef (beef with broccoli and mushroom beef) were actually chicken. Very disappointed. This was always our go to for Chinese. We’ve been coming here for years and are accustomed to our favorites. Today we decided to get lunch. We ordered chicken and broccoli/ no rice, general tso/ no rice and a chicken and broccoli combo and an order of fried donuts. The chicken and broccoli was terrible! It tastes nothing like it used to. It’s bland and tastes like a knock off tv dinner. The veggies are not cooked tender enough and you can tell they were frozen. The egg rolls are also bland and look like just meat and cabbage inside.

We tried the buffet last night. I knew they changed owners, but I guess I haven’t been inside since the remodel. It’s very simple, one buffet. Plenty of options to choose from however. More than enough. Good assortment of different styles of food. Everything was hot and seemed fresh. We went at 7pm on Sunday. Friendly attentive staff. I will go back.
