We really enjoyed trying this place for the first time. We ordered the "biang biang" noodles, liang pi cold noodles, dipping noodles, scallion pancakes and green beans. Everything tasted fresh and had really excellent flavor. My favorite was the liang pi cold noodles - the sauce was really excellent and I liked that the gluten pieces soaked it up. The noodles were also deliciously chewy. The dipping noodles weren't my favorite. The portions were quite large and the people working here were very friendly and attentive even though it was quite busy. I would definitely come back here again. We had a great time.
The food is excellent here. You just have to decide what to order from their extensive menu! The eggplant in garlic sauce: little twist of sour and sweet. It was tasty. The crispy spicy chicken: very crispy with a soft interior and had very good flavor. They gave us plenty of chicken. The cumin marinated beef with biang biang noodles: noodles were chewy and soft. Very good. The pig ear cold dish: not worth the money because the plate was mainly onions. The wonton in hot and sour soup: not that tasty. I would come back again to try other dishes!
The Liang Pi Noodles were really really good! Strong recommend -- next time I want to try their other noodle dishes. The noodles are chewy but not too thick or tough. The scallion pancakes were also really nice
We had lunch at this place when we just arrived in Austin from other state three days ago. We found it at Yelp. We ordered wonton soup, Dry Spicy Chicken with peanuts and Stir-fried chives with pork and bean curd. There were very delicious. The food tasted like homemade food, we love it!!! Very fresh!!!
The food is quite salty, but you can ask for light salt if you prefer a milder taste. The portions are generous, more like a self-serve style. Two of us spent ~$30 each.
