Hang's Asian Bistro

So excited first time we had it. Great flavor, light, cooked perfectly. Same for another dinner. Third time it was all grease, burned eggs rolls, etc. Bummed bc we thought we found a new place! Coworker got it for lunch this week- it was great again. No extra oil or burned egg rolls. We decided to try it again after this tonight (weekend). Awful. Heavy, drippy scallion pancakes and egg rolls that were burned. So disappointed! Pics do no justice. I don't think we'll try again as it's too expensive to play Russian roulette with.

I havent eaten from Hangs in quite some time and dont think I will anymore. I ordered the Beef and Broccoli dinner combo and no exaggeration got so much Broccoli but it was about 90% pieces of the stems and legit got 10 TINY pieces of beef with about a tablespoon of sauce on it. It was like i got the scraps from someone elses order. I got it for my 5 year old and I told split but couldnt split it. There wasn't even enough meat to fill him up. I had to end up making him a few chicken nuggets. I guess at least I got to eat some rice with soy sauce for dinner. Pretty disappointed with them.

I should have taken pictures of the inside, but I would recommend to never eat inside here. So with that being said, it makes me skeptical of what the Kitchen may look like. I put one star for the service because it was a normal Saturday and I was calling them and there was no answer and they were closed on a busy Saturday. My biggest thing, though the first time I came here and I asked for the vegetable dumplings because I am vegan and they gave me pork and when I put into it, it was absolutely sickening. Since they advertise that they have vegan meats and accommodate plant based people it seems like they even have a news article up on their wall for the first place in CT or something like that to have plant based meat options. Well, they should take that off if they are making mistakes l

Large portions, sm boneless spare rib was massive,though chopped too tiny to be finger food. Prices are reasonable. The take out does NOT include flatware or condiments so you have to grab those when you pick it up - they dont tell you that. The steamed chicken and veg was very fresh, Tasty light and satisfying. Beef skewers lacked seasoning/ marinade and char from the broiler. Wonton soup is generous ane the wonton filling is very well spiced. All in all very worth the drive into CT’s wilderness (seriously, this is the ‘the hills have eyes’ part of this unfortunate cube-state separating the sox and yankees fans.

Great food, the owner Karen and staff are polite, friendly, professional serving the community and doing their best on getting the food out to us patrons in a orderly manner. Highly recommend
