HandoSake Sushi

From the moment I sat down, this restaurant took incredible care of me. The service was genuinely kind, attentive, and thoughtful without being overbearing — the kind that makes you feel welcomed, not rushed. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The sushi was beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. Every bite was balanced and intentional, and you can tell the chefs take real pride in their craft. The textures, sauces, and plating were all top-tier — easily some of the best I’ve had. What really stood out, though, was how well I was treated as a guest. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying my experience, and that level of care makes all the difference. This place was an absolute dream. We let the sushi chefs (Junior and Sed) decide everything for us, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Each piece felt intentional and special, and somehow every course was better than the last. The seven-piece nigiri sampler was incredible, the hand rolls were flawless, and I happily said yes to more nigiri afterward because it was just that good. Truly one of the most fantastic sushi experiences I’ve had.

Was a little hard to get in, the door was locked for some reason, and the host lady didn’t open it for us. We had to knock and then she came to open it. Then we weren’t sure if we were supposed to wait to be seated and stood there awkwardly while she was on the phone. She didn’t really acknowledge us and another server came by a little later and seated us. Not that big of a deal I just thought it was wierd. Food was amazing though, and the atmosphere. Great music selection, it’s like a going to a house set with sushi. We got two hand rolls, a nigiri set, the spider monkey roll, and the matcha creme brûlée. The hand rolls were good, but we definitely recommend getting nigiri and sushi over them. The nigiri set was the normal one, the upgraded one didn’t look much better for the price differ

We had the Utah Set, which included 2 - Johnny Utah hand rolls, Cali roll and a lobster roll as an appetizer. For dinner we split a Spider Monkey, Tokyo Cowboy, and a Tuna no crust. I loved them all and would definitely order again!!! First time having Wagyu on a roll and it did not disappoint. For drinks we had a Japanese Mule, which is probably my new favorite mule bc if the citrus twist and I love love love it. Our sever was Ledwig and he is an absolute slice of heaven!! So professional, kind, knowledgeable, and prompt. We will be returning on our next visit to SLC

Clean, fresh, good portion sizes. Our sushi chef, Saudi, was great! Took my brother for his birthday, and they also included a delicious crème brûlée and a fruit side on the house. We each got the 7 piece nigiri lunch special and it was great! Highly recommend!
