Handel's Homemade Ice Cream

I enjoyed my first visit to handels. I've heard about it but never attempted to go so I was invited out to try it I took the opportunity. I had the pumpkin cheesecake with bits and pieces of cheesecake in it. That was pretty tasty but friend who invited me had the same but she added banana creampie to hers. And that was a lovely combination as well. They have so many outstanding flavors like you could go once a week and try a different flavor every time before they go away. It was staffed with lots of young individuals who were very helpful. I enjoyed my experience and plan to visit again when I'm in the mood for ice cream or invited.

We arrived on a saturday night at about 10pm and there was a decent line, which meant they were popular. And they did not disappoint. The ice cream was delicious and creamy. We had the taro, blueberry cheesecake and chocolate chunk. All so good! Their smallest serving on a cone had 3 large scoops. The male staff that helped us that night was very patient, friendly and accomodating to us first-timers. We would definitely return if we're ever in the area.

Yum! The taro flavor was delicious which I'm very picky about. The strawberry cheesecake had the perfect amount of tarty strawberry flavor and cheesecake bites. Also tried mango sorbet, praline pecan, and brownie crunch which were all delicious. Prices are pretty reasonable for the amount that they pack in. A small waffle cone is 6.75 but they give you 3.5 scoops of ice cream which is a plenty for two people.

My family and I always come back to Handel’s whenever we’re craving something ice cream. The ice cream is consistently great, and the young employees are always friendly and efficient—even when the line is long and moving nonstop. I did witness a customer being unnecessarily rude while holding up the line with all these samples, which honestly felt unfair to both the staff and other customers waiting. The employees handled it with way more patience and kindness than most people would, and that deserves recognition. I really appreciate the 4-scoop sampler option since it’s reasonably priced and perfect for trying different flavors without slowing everything down. Plus, they’re happy to let you exchange a scoop if needed, though I’ve never had to because everything I’ve tried has been a hit.

3.2.2026 got there around 8:30pm. 3 people working. 2 women 1 man. Only 1 of the females was working the window while the guy worked on online orders. The blonde woman with earpods was just hiding in the back and would pop her head out to see how long the line got and then hide again. After about 20+ mins the woman with earpods came out to make a milkshake from an online order and then went into hiding again. Cleary the business of handels is that online order takes precedence than the people in front waiting for almost an hr, even though we were 4th in line when we arrived. 1 hr wait for an ice cream. 4th in line. Let that sink in. But all online orders were ready for those people that werent even there.
