Hamlin Doughnuts

Stopped in this morning (8/22/2025) at about 6:30am. The store was very clean and the display case was well organized. The gentleman working there (owner?) was very friendly and happy to help. The donuts were terrific, fresh and very large. They were less expensive than most places we have been to (.80 each). Asked the gentleman for 1/2 dozen mixed donuts. Didn't realize it until we were going down the road but he actually gave us 7, very nice surprise. The next time we pass through Hamlin we will certainly stop again.

Hamlin is my childhood home. A most cherished place for me. I have been gone from there for many years since before I was even a teenager. Throughout my years as a military spouse I never found the time to come back and for many of those years my dad had moved on from Hamlin for a time but he eventually made his way back as it is his home as well. For a few years now I have been dreaming of going into Hamlin donuts with my dad who might have had coffee there a couple of times when he still lived there but I would express to him through phone calls how I wish I could be there to have a donut and coffee with him. Fresh donuts, and great cheese kolaches! Well worth the price, as they’re huge. The owner even threw in an extra donut into my half dozen. They have a drive through if you don’t feel up to going inside. Service was excellent and fast. Very nice people.

Wife & I had breakfast at Hamlin Donuts twice. Who doesn't love a fresh donut? The giant apple fritters are seductive, but very high calorie, so I compromised for a huge cinnamon roll the second morning. Our first day was Sunday morning after Homecoming, so the string of local customers feeding their visitors was amazing. Monday morning was still busy with local customers who were obviously repeat customers. We really enjoyed observing a cute 2-yr old girl with Grandpa in tow. The tray of donuts with white icing & multi-color sprinkles was at her eye level and she knew exactly what she wanted! She kept dancing & saying More, More, until Grandpa bought all on that tray. She was the happiest kid in Hamlin as she led Grandpa out the door with her prise. The menu includes items other than donu

Great donuts. You can tell quality donuts by plain glazed donuts and these are great! Their sausage egg cheese jalapeno breakfast crescent is amazing and spicy.
