Ham Ji Bak Korean BBQ

Service was friendly. For a la carte Kbbq, I was hoping for better quality meats. The brisket was cut thicker than what I'm used to, the pork jowl had an odor, the rib meat was too sweet, but the bottom sirloin was fantastic though. The sides and dumplings were great. The japchae was too sweet, and I wish the seafood pancake was thinner and more crispy. While eating, there was a strong odor of cleaning products that were used to clean the tables - it just degraded the experience for me.

My squid sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking but after the spicy sauce it was good! My friend enjoyed their meat. The service was tentative. We had a great time and full tummy leaving!

Ah this might be our new favourite KBBQ/Korean place in Carrollton now for the price range especially. We got a beef & pork combo for 2 people, a monkfish spicy soup and a seafood pancake. That's more than enough to feed 4 people with half a soup and 1-2 slices of pancake to bring home. EVERYTHING tastes great! The boneless beef rib was melt-in-your-mouth soft and you can see the marbling here, and the pork jowl was crunch and fatty and thickly cut how I like it! Their marinated pork rib and the other meat are also decent, not too sweet at all, and for i think $95, you got a really good deal, since every portion was bigger than I thought AND it came with a giant bowl salad, a big steamed egg, a big corn cheese and a small soybean paste soup. Only my 2nd Korean BBQ meal - the service was great, very friendly. We ordered a mixed beef combo. They brought out an array of sides and a pile of beef which they cooked at the grill on the table. Not sure if they cook for everyone 😊

I’ve tried many K-BBQ restaurants in Dallas, I was so excited to try this place because the reviews were good but unfortunately, this one was very disappointing. The banchan selection was limited and didn’t taste fresh — even the kimchi had an odd flavor compared to other places. The quality of the meat was just average and didn’t match the higher prices they charge. The staff didn’t seem very welcoming. We even handed them an empty water bottle expecting a refill, but they never brought it back. Small things like that make a big difference in the overall experience. With so many great K-BBQ spots in Dallas, I really expected better. Hopefully, they can improve their food quality and service in the future.
