Half Shell Oyster Bar & Grill

We stopped by chance here in August and it was a perfect hidden gem. The service is awesome and the food was fantastic. We are headed back through and plan to stop. A must try especially if you like oysters.

Half Shell our go-to spot when we’re craving seafood in Troy. It’s basically the only place in town where you can enjoy delicious oysters, whether baked or fresh with cocktail sauce. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, and although it’s not super fancy, the service is great and the bartenders are friendly. On weekends, you can even catch some live music, adding to the laid-back vibe. Overall, it’s a perfect place for a casual seafood dinner with family or friends.

Stopped on our way to the beach. We rarely drive past either coming from or going to the beach, this is a must stop. Today our server was Olivia. She knows how to make a person feel special. Our oysters were perfect (as usual). Great atmosphere and fabulous food and service.

Great food and service here. Atmosphere is also great. You will enjoy this place so give it a shot.

The only issue I have with the place is, online it says they will close at 9 but we walked in and it’s 7:50 and they are closed. I think if they are going to close early and they have done this more than once. They need to change it online. That’s poor as the company to do that for people that come and want to eat there. Food and atmosphere is amazing I love the place but that is 1 issue. That’s needs to be changed
