Halal Munchies

I have been eating at another Halal Munchies location for a year now, and since a friend told me that they are in Bay Ridge as well, i thought i must give it a shot. And as usual, the food was amazing. The restaurant is located in Bay Ridge's 5th ave, so a prime location. Very neat and clean restaurant with a proper indoor sitting area. Extremely friendly staff and very hygenic kitchen as well (you can see your food being prepared). The food was tasty, filling (ideally 2 servings in one platter order), flavourful and definitely worth its price. Overall a must try if you want nice flavourful food.

We love Halal Munchies! We passed by Halal Munchies multiple times but we never tried it. The branch is immaculately clean and well-lit and always full of people, so we decided to try it out one night to see if the food was as good as it seemed. It genuinely is one of the best halal food places we've ever tasted. First off, the food is fresh. It isn't greasy or tastes like old burnt oil. The food always smells super fresh, but it's nothing compared to the taste. We ordered the chicken over rice, onion rings, and chicken tenders. Everything is excellent. The tenders and wings are never soggy. In other places, they're old and cooked to within an inch of their life and they taste like they've been heated. This location felt perfect. Delicious food, staff who appear to enjoy their jobs, and a clean environment. I'm adding this to my list of places I frequently visit. I’ve ordered 4 Philly cheesesteak and it was very tasty and delicious. They make right front of me , which is made me feel very authentic.

This place has consistenly been a go to, I live nearby and has always been reliable. Portion sizes are super generous and prices are always reasonable!

Please support this local takeout restaurant, I would hate to see it close due to lack of customer traffic. I’ve eaten a lot of halal food, starting since the 90’s when they first started popping up all over the city. I know there are a lot of choices for middle eastern food in Bay Ridge, but most of them are expensive sit down restaurants. Halal munchies is different. They are geared toward takeout, but the food is still very fresh very flavorful, service is friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. You can find discounts on Uber Eats, which makes it a huge plus. I’ve ordered here over five times and enjoy it every time. My only small gripe is that they offer a non spicy option.
