Haifa Grill

At first glance, this place is small, but there is a dining room upstairs. The food is basic shawarma sandwiches and falafel. The guy didn’t shave fresh meat he scooped from the precut tray and it was dry. The dolma rice was stale tasting and it was also dry. The baba ghanouj was good though. The medium fries are a huge serving that could feed 2 people. There was nothing that really made the place stick out and the staff didn’t seem the least bit enthused to see customers. They were still helpful and quick.

Haifa Grill was a very pleasant experience overall and worked well for us as a family. Parking was easy and convenient, which made arriving stress-free, especially with kids. The restaurant was not too crowded, so the atmosphere felt calm and comfortable. All seating is located on the upper floor, and the upstairs seating area was spacious and nice, making it easy to enjoy the meal without feeling cramped. Even though there’s no seating downstairs, the layout upstairs felt well organized and suitable for families. Hands down one of the best shawarma spots in the DMV. Excellent marinade. Generous portions. Acceptable prices. Place is always busy, food is always fresh and made to order. This means there's a little bit of a wait to get your order (10-15min). However, you can order online for pick up. The mint lemonade is overpriced, but really good! They will put french fries in chicken shawarma wrap if you ask! (Only thing that's missing is fresh parsley for the beef shawarma)

2/21/2026 - Very disappointing experience. I decided to try this place after seeing a rave review from influencer Nomtastic, who highlighted the food and mentioned the owner being present and very engaged. That’s what motivated me to drive down from North Laurel, Maryland. I called at 10:00 p.m. to place an order and no one answered. I arrived around 10:30 p.m. (30 minutes before closing), and there were 5–6 employees standing around, so there’s really no excuse for not picking up the phone. I ordered the chicken shawarma shrak, beef shawarma shrak, tabbouleh, and baba ganoush. The baba ganoush was good. The tabbouleh was average. The chicken was extremely dry and barely seasoned. The beef was very fatty and lacked flavor. Overall, the meat quality and execution were poor. The total came
