Hadley Public Library

Fun and quiet environment to be in. The teen room is a nice spot to hang with friends and look at some books. The quiet study is a great place to do homework, study, and work in general. The staff there are very nice and helpful.

This is a stunning library. An $8 million dollar renovation was completed in 2020 when the old Hadley Library (Goodwin Memorial Library) moved into this new building. There is ample space for books, games, computers, and a well-outfitted kids play area. There are large windows that let in a ton of natural light. The staff has always been very friendly. The only downside is that the hours are fairly limited so make sure it's open before you arrive. A neighborhood gem!!

I feel their selection of books/Arthur's VERY limited! Too much space taken up for computers upstairs vs more books.

Honestly, this is marvelous if you have children and would love to see them be able to move about in a pretty big room and you can join them. Plenty to do. You can also just keep an eye on them on the other side of the wall (half of the wall is a window)There's a couple adult size chairs too. Train set for young little ones with wooden tracks. A couple children tables. There is a sink in there normal size. If you feel like washing off anything, I would bring wet wipes (I guess you can ask the staff) also, there's disposable throw out plastic bags in the bathroom in case you change a diaper. Just so you can take this type of trash with you and you can of course, double bag it. There's a note in the bathroom explaining the reasoning.
