Gyro

I usually stop by for food when running to work, seeing that it's closer than the other location in Newark. Judging between both locations, the taste here in Hillside is very different along with the menu! More menu items, better taste, cozier venue plus great service! My reasons for giving this specific location 5 STARS although I requested for Juice options instead of all Soda/Water upon my last visit. Excellent for a quick grab and dash or dine-in!

First time at this Gyro King and it was great. I really enjoyed the chicken over rice. The food was served quick and the quality was outstanding. They have great seating arrangements and a great atmosphere. The staffs are friendly and pleasant.

Chicken Tikka was truly special, unique, and tasted better than I expected. I also enjoyed the dine in experience at this restaurant. It is clean and spacious with nice sitting arrangement.

Food was D E L I C I O U S. Portion is big. Delivery was very very quick and costumer service was amazing.

Small menu. The gyro was good. It wasn’t over sauced and super salty like downtown Newark(not saying downtown gyro cart isn’t good). The gyro is a little bit smaller than the gyro cart downtown as well but! It is still filling. The fries could be better. Maybe change the oil or don’t serve refried fries or use a different oil because there is a slight after taste and it almost ruins the fries. The skinny man upfront was the most welcoming. The Short man at the register kept a bothered look on his face and was a little short with me and my boyfriend as we were paying. He also tried to push for me to get hot sauce and I don’t know if it’s because he assumed since I was from around there that I would want it. But other than that. It’s a quick 4/5 bite.
