Guthrie Public Library

Love that Guthrie has a vocal library! I donated books the other day. They either put them on their shelves to check out or sell them to help support the local library.

They mall conference rooms. They barely fit 2 people.

The Guthrie library is a great place to sit and research, with books or a computer. The staff are very helpful it's quiet and the atmosphere is relaxed. I went out on my time on the computer, but the staff was aware and extended my time without me asking , provided others weren't waiting to use one. I enjoy doing my extra tasks there.

Severely underdeveloped library, looks like it got stuck in 2003 and never recovered. I recently moved here from a equally small town and the difference shocked me. Their selection on books is pretty slim pickings. They have more mostly fiction books, but I searched through their selection for about 30 minutes and never found anything I liked. Maybe that's just me. The books they do have are unorganized. I was confused on the layout. The 'teen' area was so squished together I bumped into the same teenager like 3 times. I left with no books. Their computer catalog is old. Old operating system, old website. A lot of shady people, look like they just go there to be somewhere free. Guess you can't avoid that. Guthrie Library, go visit OKC Downtown Library. Take some notes. Money doesn't grow o
