The best food so far in dc.. The decor is very nice and comfortable. Nice vibe in the place. The service was great, the staff was all so kind, let us taste some wine before purchasing and gave us a complimentary appetizer. The food was all delicious. The folks I went with had never had Ethiopian food before, and they enjoyed their experience and felt 100 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Delicious food, warm atmosphere, and amazing service! Everything in point.can’t t get over of the beautiful ambiance in every corner ,even the restrooms are so clean . The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Ethiopian cuisine in DC area!
Loved it! My favorite was the beef. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The place is also super cute and relaxing
I've been here a couple times for dinner but I had a nearby appointment in the morning and decided to drop by for an early lunch. I arrived shortly after they opened, but some tables still had crumbs, presumably from the night before. I got the lamb with 3 veggies and the lamb was made fresh and was hot, but the veggies were lukewarm, and the injera was cold. Everything still had a good flavor, but if they are going to open at 11, they need to arrive early enough to heat everything up so it's properly hot. Also they should thoroughly clean all the tables at the end of the night so they aren't dirty the next morning. I'll be back but I will stick to dinner from now on.
I went into this restaurant out of pure luck as I was studying in the local MLK library and let me just say the food was top notch! I got the quanta firfir and the single sambusa. The sambusa comes with a delicious savory and mild sauce that is vegan (🔥🔥🔥🔥). The quanta firfir had great portions for two so I had to ask for a box! The meet is chewy and savory as it should be and they had a great portion of meat (quanta) and firfir. I got a chance to speak with the Owner Endale and definitely impressed by everything his family was able to build here. Will be coming back every time I am in the DC area! Oh and the food was soo good I got the combination special for my family to take home.
The food was absolutely delicious! The Gursha combo offered exceptional value, providing a well-rounded and balanced meal. But the real treat was the traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony, complete with Frankincense smoke, which left me feeling surprisingly relaxed and rejuvenated. Thank you for the attention to detail and exceptional service!
