Gringo's Diner

Stopped in Hilton Head for a few days, and Gringos Diner was our first stop—and we definitely didn’t regret it. The breakfast tacos were amazing, and it was hard not to order them again the next morning, though we went ahead and tried the pancakes with Nullea strawberries and bananas, which did not disappoint. The hospitality was outstanding, and the food was consistently delicious. We wish we’d had time to try the burgers too—they looked incredible.

We ordered the Reuben and the chicken Philly cheesesteak. Oh and we ordered the home fries along with the sandwiches. Skinny home fries and they were crisp and plentiful! The staff were very friendly and pointed out that the drinks came with free refills. Our food arrived hot and delicious. We ate outside and were able to people watch as well. Would definitely eat here again. We also had leftovers.

Never been to HHI and was quickly looking for a Brunch spot. I seen Gringo’s online had one of the top Chicken and Waffle Sandwiches and without a doubt it’s TOP TIER. The two workers were very accommodating and the outdoor seating was enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and will certainly be back!

Good chicken & waffle sandwich. The chicken was not seasoned but combined with the slaw and waffle together, it was delicious. Corn Beef said to be good by my son. Great for quick bite or anytime. You order at the counter, and then get a number and wait at the table. Small inside with a few tables, mostly outside seating. Friendly staff.

My wife and I stopped in for a quick lunch and both decided to try the best rated burger on HHI! It wasn’t bad! The burger is almost like a meatloaf consistency and thick, not like the popular smash burgers that are the rave right now. The fries were fresh cut and HOT when they came out! The burger was hot too! It may not have been the best burger I have ever had, but it was the best burger I have had on the Island! The staff was super friendly and although the inside was cramped, it was well air conditioned and a nice break from the heat! This is not a 5 star dining establishment and not looking for a James Beard award, it’s a beach burger shack and it delivers! To those about to dine, I salute you!
