Visited on 10.17.2015 for a Second Breakfast and was served by Tammie. She was fantastic and the food was Delicious. Highly recommend to anyone traveling through Marshfield, Missouri.
Good food and fast service. There was a large line and they got everyone sat and feed very quickly. We made special requests and the were able to accommodate them all....
walked in, seated fast probably within 10 seconds of entering. sat down and got drinks immediately. the silverware was actually shining. this tells me your dishwasher is very good at your job. got our food and the plates glistened in the light. damn near blinding me, yet again a good thing. got there about 6:30 and left at 8, the whole time was catered extragavantly the entire time. probs to your afternoon shift dishwasher.
This was our second time to eat at Grillo’s Cafe and it will be our last. It had been a few years since we had eaten there and I remember why. My partner ordered the meatloaf dish and it was dry. Very salty and he wasn’t expecting gravy on his meatloaf but yes on his potatoes. His side dish was green beans(maybe 10 beans) in a little sauce cup(3oz maybe) everything full of salt(sodium) !!! I wouldn’t recommend this place for a person on a low sodium diet. I ordered one of the daily specials. I understand why it was a special; it tasted like it had two week old pork roast that had dried out. When I order pulled pork I expect it to be most and tender and easy to chew.
I have tried multiple times to eat at this restaurant and it’s almost always horrid. Marinara tastes and smells like mop water. Cook will either burn your steak or bring it out literally mooing. Zero concept on how to properly cook sunny side eggs, as the yolk is so cold you could chip ice from them. Servers have an attitude with fixing food and you can hear the cooks having a massive attitude. I would’ve given a negative review if an option. Only people who can enjoy this food are those who like cafeteria food and lack the understanding of real food.
