Best post-ski comfort food! Skewers, ice-cold beer, and a big pot of sizzling grilled fish. The vibe here is perfect for a late-night hangout. The lamb skewers were juicy and flavorful, grilled eggplant was garlicky and melt-in-your-mouth, and the grilled sea bass is a must-order. We also loved the dry pot blue crab, and the shrimp & blue crab congee was the perfect comforting finish. Open until midnight with great food and fun atmosphere. Definitely coming back.
We came from California to spend a winter vacation in SLC, and the Grill Bar is surely a nice surprise! The food is better than most grill places we tried back home, but cheaper! Most importantly, the intestines were thoroughly cleaned without any smell. You know the significance of this if you are into intestines like we do :D
Everything was delicious and well prepared. The oysters were fresh and flavorful, the clay pot congee was comforting and rich, and the grilled skewers were nicely seasoned. Great food for sharing, and we really enjoyed the meal.
I’m pretty picky about Chinese food, and this place really hit the spot. The flavors are very authentic and remind me of food back home. The grilled skewers were juicy, well-seasoned, and not overly salty, and the seafood congee was super comforting—perfect for colder nights in Salt Lake City. I really liked the tablet ordering system with both English and Chinese, which made ordering easy and convenient. The restaurant is clean, modern, and comfortable, and it doesn’t feel rushed at all. Overall, great food, fair prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. If you’re craving real Chinese-style BBQ, Grill Bar - 炭烤吧 is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back for sure.
I really enjoyed the food. The lobster was better than the shrimp. The flavor was all there but by no means they are jumbo shrimp making it a bit difficult to peel. And although the shrimp were cut they were not clean exposing that thick black vein of crap. Needless to say I had to go through the trouble of cleaning them out. I will definitely return, next time I’m going for the fish. I wish they had more fried rice choices. The only choice is fried rice with egg. I like that every table can order from a table that illustrates an image of every item. The establishment is nice and clean and the service is good although when I went it was early and practically empty
