Gregg's - East Providence

Food is so delicious! Their calamari pasta and shrimp tacos are so good! Sometimes its a French onion/chicken noodle soup day and we order those with salads and never forget their famous pickled cucumbers and bread/butter rolls!

Went today for the first time and wasn't disappointed. We walked in as they were opening and were seated right away. The restaurant was ready to go on opening. Service was perfect and the food was too. Got the salmon with mashed potatoes, vegetarian roll up, French onion soup. The price was very reasonable.

The food is very good. Standard types great burgers, entrees etc. The desserts are amazing. Save room. It's one of those places you have to go to if you're visiting because we're happy to bring you and have a reason to go again.

The tavern is a nice environment with a great bar. We went to celebrate the 37th birthday of my brother and sister. I ordered the buffalo chicken macaroni and cheese. I was extremely unimpressed. I got penne pasta with small spots of over melted mozzarella cheese. 1 small generic piece of a chicken pattie with buffalo sauce on top of it. Sliced into stripes. The pasta/chicken ratio wasn't even close to being equal. The richness amd creaminess of traditional macaroni and cheese was lacking and not even in the picture. Please review and they to revamp that recipe to more of a creamy traditional dish. Cut back on the scallions due to the lack of cheese is too much onion flavor. Our waiter was very polite and attentive.

So we are new residents to the area And I have been recommended to try out Greggs, and the experience was not pleasant to say the least waitress was nice, but waited over an hour for our food which no wait it wasn’t busy mind you, multiple mess ups But only got comped for one meal The manager did not greet us or do the appropriate procedure Only dropped off the replacement food and apologized did not seem considerate though. I also work at a restaurant, so I understand how crucial it is for the food, service, and customer satisfactory is supposed to be which honestly was not provided from here and the food was mid, So definitely won’t be returning, but it is a nice place inside and the desserts looked good But got completely turned off to purchase once I spent over 60 on food that was not
