Greenwood Retreat

PERFECT forest getaway. Super quick ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge with the retreat just around the corner. Guests can access a large "common" cabin with fantastic food, lounging area, laundry & friendly dogs (especially when they get to know you), including a fire pit outside & a few blackberry patches to nourish upon during the right time of year; most of the summer. Guest cabin itself has a lit pathway to its porch, and a table to charge phones/laptops & read about island activities, unless you'd rather chill on the super-soft huge bed, in the luxurious hot-bathtub with its own ledge into the bedroom, or amongst the trails strewn about the property. We completely recharged from a crazy month in just a couple days, with super attentive hosts that simultaneously granted plenty of space

Quiet peaceful getaway. Dog loved running in the woods and on the trails. Eat, drink, nap, read. Rinse, repeat. Two minor critiques: while you can use the great room it certainly doesn’t feel natural. I wish there was a bit more clarity. The dogs barked and came in. They were very nice and sweet but everyone might not feel so confident with them. Next, the cabin needs a new mattress. The one there has a bad slump in the middle making for a restless sleep. Otherwise, this place was wonderful and made for a great weekend getaway.

Peaceful and gorgeous, that is how I experience Greenwood Retreat. The cabin is BEAUTIFUL and surrounded by 10 acres of uninterrupted, deep forest. WiFi, huge sunken tub, and breakfast in the main house make it a pampered experience. Close to Winslow (10 minutes) so the ferry ride is convenient.
