Greenhorn Bar & Grill

We have visited many times this summer to escape the Ridgecrest heat...and the Ridgecrest aftershocks. The staff are always friendly and accommodating and the food is always excellent. Sometimes we sit inside but usually outside since it tends to be about 20F cooler than where we live. We like to just grab a drink and some apps and hang out on a weekend afternoon. We celebrated our first wedding anniversary here three weeks ago and this past weekend celebrated the restaurant's first anniversary. Great place; highly recommended.

We absolutely love this place the food is fantastic it's so nice to have a fine cuisine, in the Sequoia National Forest. I had the three taco combo shrimp, chicken, beef, it was absolutely fantastic. My wife had the enchilada Rojas beef rice and beans it was absolutely fantastic to I tasted it. The salsa is a bit spicy but it's got wonderful flavor

We arrived right when they were closing not realising they close at 3pm on Sunday. We were about to just leave because we didn't want to keep anyone from staying later than they have to, but this awesome waitress named Myra genuinely welcomed us in and it was simply the best customer service I've had in quite some time. Then to top it off the food was delicious!!! We loved their salsa and street corn. My husband ordered their burger which came out juicy and delectable. Then we finished it off with a pumpkin spice cheesecake and vanilla ice-cream ... Oh my goodness! BEST dessert choice EVER! Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it because I literally inhaled it... I highly recommend this restaurant.

As of January 2021 Loved it! In the past with previous owners it was hard to pin down exactly when they were open and the food was not consistent. But after a couple recent visits on weekends (Friday-Sunday) under the new ownership. We loved the food and the friendly service. My family and I will be coming back again. Many thanks to the staff at the Greenhorn Grill.

What a pleasant surprise! I haven't been up there for years. New owners? The place looks apropos for the beautiful Alta Sierras. Love it! It's clean, bathrooms are clean and warm inside even though it's snowy outside. Now for the food and service. First I appreciate an owner who can roll up their sleeves, work hard and still find time to welcome people with a pleasant personality. A rare treasure indeed! The chicken fried chicken IS AMAZING! The dish was served hot, chicken was moist and tender with a fantastic tasting gravey! We'll definitely be back for sure!
