Greene's Southern Kitchen

Great food and staff! We were in town to tour the restored historic governor’s mansion and wanted to try Greene’s Restaurant after reading all the good reviews. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Our selections were fried chicken, turkey breast, sweet potatoes soufflé, black eyed peas, greens, crispy potatoes and a biscuit. We will definitely make a trip back for another meal.

10/10 recommend! This place is TOO CUTE!!! I went here with my partner for the first time, while we were out of town. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by friendly faces (Morgan & Kellen were so sweet), the restaurant is clean and inviting, the art on the walls are themed (to the name of the restaurant), beautiful artwork, and the food is fresh! Morgan, the amazing woman behind the counter, told us all about the restaurant. She gave us the full rundown and suggested different things for us to try. The chickpea salad was PHENOMENAL. Greene’s (pronounced Green’s) is an amazing place to have any meal that they make available. If they offered a cot, then I would rest between meals. I would not leave. The fried chicken was delightful. Delectable. Delicious. And very good.

This is by far the best southern-style restaurant we’ve experienced across the country!! Frank (the owner) was so kind and patient in walking us through their process of ordering food. Everything was was simple to understand, but also streamlined to serve the busy lunch rush! Not only was the customer service and atmosphere top-notch, but the food was INCREDIBLE!! Frank walked me through how to try a little of everything and it all was seasoned to perfection!! They had a the full range of options to be friendly to kids and also those with vegan / vegetarian / gluten free diet restrictions. My family of four enjoyed an amazing lunch at a very reasonable price with leftovers! Definitely worth stopping by while experiencing the beautiful & quaint downtown Milledgeville 😀

I recently visited Greene's Farmhouse Foods at 116 W Hancock St, in Milledgeville, GA. I was in town to sample the burgers here and in town for Burger Week. The restaurant was very clean and I enjoyed their version of a burger with their brisket sandwich. I thought it was delicious and look to visit them another time.
