The Green Turtle Bed & Breakfast, uniquely situated at Pier 8 near the waterfront, is, in my practical estimation and based on the frequent, genuinely delighted reports from friends who’ve enjoyed a getaway there, a truly distinctive and memorable lodging choice that offers an intimate, personalized stay far superior to any large hotel chain, all set against the backdrop of the charming Charlestown Navy Yard. Everyone I’ve spoken with consistently praises the incredibly gracious and attentive hosts, the absolutely delicious and thoughtfully prepared breakfasts, and the cozy, beautifully appointed rooms that provide a peaceful retreat with stunning harbor views, emphasizing that the B&B successfully merges historical context with modern comfort. I’ve learned from their narratives that the a

1st a, I want to say hello to Jon and Karen, our wonderful hosts at this unique and beautiful house boat! I feel that we have 2 more friends in this world now after living next door to them for 3 nights! Lol! The Green Turtle was simply amazing. We were staying in Boston after coming off a 16-night Transatlantic ocean voyage and the gentle rocking of the houseboat helped to acclimate us back to dry land! |Jon is the perfect travel host with many restaurant ideas and ways to get around their beautiful city. Karen should be working in a 5 star restaurant serving her fantastic breakfasts! The location at pier 8 is perfect. You have many options to get into downtown Boston but can escape the noise and honking and crowds each evening to your quiet floating room. Whether you choose to walk (as

Utterly Amazing Relaxing Stay in Central Boston's Charlestown Marina. The host's pre-arrival, arrival and during-stay service is flawless. Note: the floating accommodation is split between two queen rooms that can be separate or shared. We just used one side while another couple booked the other side, with plenty of privacy. The room and bathroom with shower was beautifully appointed. Wifi, TV, kitchenette with microwave, coffee/coffeemaker, delicious muffins, fridge with yogurt fruit juices.....no full breakfast were perfect.||We paid for parking in the adjacent marina parking was very secured. Once checked in, all attractions in Boston are easily reached by walking or a UMass Hospital bus (free) to central Boston, a short walk to Bunker Hill or the USS Constitution or Ubering.||Just

Such a great time -- so much more of an enjoyable experience than a hotel. The boat house is comfy, cute and fully appointed. As are the hosts! LOL -- they are there for anything you need and full of information about the area, the restaurants, etc, that make it so much easier for folks like us on our first time to Boston. ||The location is perfect -- easy walking to North End, Cambridge, Freedom Trail -- great museums at Harvard (art museums are amazing; natural history museum fun as well...the whole town of Boston is a museum, really!) Easy access to the ferry over to the "city" -- at a whopping $3.70 fare. C'mon now. And it's fun to boot! ||If you are walkers, it's an easy to stroll from the Charlestown side to North End, and the walkable bridges make it scenic and enjoyable. Even

What a wonderful treat to have found this B&B and to have had Jon guide us with amazing recommendations during our stay. Jon's energy and passion was terrific to make you feel at home and like you have known each other forever. The location on the pier is perfect for privacy and quietness but close enough to the water taxi to get in to Boston. This was a girl's trip but looking forward to returning next year with significant others!
