Great experience at this cafe after a long day of hiking. Highly recommend the milkshakes! They're so delicious. Great food. Handcut fries. Good portions and reasonable prices. Definitely stop here if you can.

Amazing good and views! I had the grilled cheese dipped with the lentil tomatoes soup of the day and it was the best grilled cheese I've ever had! The soup was tasty too and I'm going to try to recreate it at home. I also got a French soda with one of the many flavored suryps available. My husband got the burger of the day and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was served in a fresh and toasted brioche bun. My daughter got the chicken fingers (of course) and seasoned fries and we all loved the fries. This is a NPS gem!

You know what mama said about talking about others. Last night I went to the Border Inn for dinner. Let's talk about Great Basin café. Had breakfast there this morning: Cinnamon roll French toast, bacon, and orange juice. Had late lunch there later: Cowboy hotdog and a Coke. The Mrs. had a chili dog that came with real chili. Friendly staff. Clean. Modern. Great breakfast before a hike. Great lunch after a hike. Nice work, up there.

I was just here at 8:30a on a Tuesday. It appears to be closed as the doors were locked. Hours 8a-3p Thursday-Tuesday, closed on Wednesday. It’s attached to the Visitor Center. Due to the government shutdown, no staff and doors locked. There’s a helpful sign indicating the nearest National Parks Store is in Tucson, AZ.

Headed for the cave tour we decided to grab a bite. Lots of people in the area but plenty of seating inside and out. We split a fried chicken bacon wrap and some potato salad. We both agreed this was the best wrap of this style we had ever eaten. Potato salad tasted as good as it looks. We had to leave for our tour but we came back for a cherry float to go, definitely the best roady ever! The servers were on fire and having a great time. Which added to the atmosphere. They really enjoy their work. The cafe is at the cave tour checkin, same parking lot. Plenty of space and places to sit to take into the view. While there are not many options for food in the area it was a good thing, this place was great. Highly recommend making time!
