Grape Escape Inn & Suites

This is a lovely old house in downtown Lodi. The inn is beautifully maintained and the rooms are charming. It's easy walking distance to the restaurants and shops in downtown Lodi. The staff are communicative and attentive. It's self check-in so you use a code to come and go. I was only there one night, but would love to stay longer and take advantage of the house and the hot tub. Great place!

Communication was good leading up to and during our stay, despite the hosts not being on-site. Bed and bedding were super comfortable, and the shared spaces were tidy and clean. There were some quirks with the door locks which led us to resort to using a key, but communication was good and easy. Also one of our bedrooms in our suite was quite cold, but a space heater was provided. Overall a nice stay, and a great value in the off-season.

We booked through Hotels One, though we thought we were booking directly with the property. They only book through travel platforms. We paid $250 when we booked in early Sept for a stay in late Oct, and the card was charged. We never received access information and when we arrived at the property no one was there to let us in. We were unable to get in touch with anyone to be let in, so we left to find other accommodations. Two days later I am being told they will not refund my $250.00. I am amazing at the scam and that this property doesn’t care about its customers enough to not scam them.

This was an amazing place in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood close to old town Lodi! We felt so fortunate that we had booked a bedroom in the house, which was appointed with a very comfortable, king bed. We also had the use of the most incredible kitchen that a professional chef would feel comfortable in. Filled with a large stove and so many kitchen utensils plus a dining area, it was large enough that it could comfortably fit 8-10 people. In addition, there was an extended living room area with comfortable chairs and a super large TV. Would really recommend the Grape Escape Inn to anyone intending to visit Lodi!

I booked through booking and they ended up canceling my booking a few days before my stay. I was stressing out because I had booked it for my wedding day weekend. Karen from Grape Escape reached out to me and helped me get my booking back and made the whole situation better! Definitely booking through them directly instead of booking.com. She even upgraded my room! The house is just magical and everything was so beautiful! It was truly an amazing experience! Thank you Grape Escape!
