What can I say!? The food was fantastic! The service was even more fantastic! Beautiful tables, great jazz music, clean, and atmosphere calming. We decided instead of buying Valentine gifts we are going to support black businesses instead. I must say the food and peach cobbler was off the chain. I had greens, spaghetti, sweet potatoes, with the HOT WATER cornbread. Bruce had smothered pork chops, rice and green beans. I found myself eating off his plate. The meat was so tender you can cut it with a fork. This place is worth coming to over and over again just to try new dishes. In comparison to the other places we visited this month, the food was best here. Again, that peach cobbler!

This is a must try! Please ignore the outside, when you walk in its an oasis, very neat and clean. I have to recommend the fried chicken and fried fish. It was so good we forgot to take pictures. For the sides our favorites were the greens and the sweet potatoes. I think the best part of the experience was the staff, they make you feel like youre welcome and at home. Loved our experience, please visit!

My husband and I came out in this cold for a late lunch. The food was delicious. I had the fried catfish with green and spaghetti and Vince had fried chicken, sweet potato and Mac n cheese. Brenda was our server and took good care of us. We will definitely go back.

I got the salmon croquettes and my friend got the liver and onions. I got mac and cheese and greens and she got mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The food was amazing, like I was back home with my family in Tennessee! The service was fabulous! From the waitress to the chef to the family members that came to the table and checked on us, it was a wonderful experience! We will be back! Thanks so much!! I pray God blesses this family restaurant with years of great business and success!!

First time diner!! Food was fresh, hot and, delicious 😋 we will be back! The staff was very nice. Told us about the forming of the restaurant. The cook came out and talked with us! It was a very pleasant surprise to find this gen in Monee, Il!!!
