Granite Rock Pullout

Beautiful as always, it's one of my favorite places in the world. But sadly I was disheartened at the current state of the river. I grew up in the area and spent many summers in my teens and up into my later adult years making the trek for swimming and boating at Granite Rock. But the river and surrounding area seems so dirty and polluted with garbage floating along the shoreline. I don't think I will be swimming in the river here anymore. The lower parking area smelled heavily of urine and garbage. It's so sad because it's the most beautiful, powerful, soul enriching place in the Northwest...

A great hangout, been going here since I was a child. Has a little rock to jump off of, or a large rock formation that people can jump off of. People wake board, canoe, kayak, fish, swim, sunbath... A great place for lots of hobbies. Unfortunately, over the years, people have been making a mess of the place - broken glass everywhere and empty beer bottles left in holes in rock and just leaving the site looking like a trash heap... Just wish people had the decency to pick up after themselves!

Fun spot to go cliff jumping and rock climbing 20 minutes away from Pullman. Bring your own shade and rope, it gets hot out there!

Swimming is ok however, the collage kids do a lot of drinking here resulting in large amounts of litter and trash. Also ridiculously unsafe behavior later in the day as the alcohol sets in

Everyone needs to pick up after themselves or they'll close it down again.
