What a fun busy place to grab a homemade waffle cone ( always the best!) and a scoop of some delicious creamy ice cream. Even though it was busy on a warm September evening, the line moved quickly and the staff was helpful and kind. The ice cream choices were plenty and the single scoop was a very generous portion. I loved that the waffle cone tasted fresh and wasn’t stale like some other shops I’ve been to have served. If you find yourself on grand avenue and want a tasty treat, swing in for a scoop or two!
Some good texture and tasting ice cream 👌🏾 Almost felt like more sweets than I could eat. I got the brownie sunday, and the ice cream flavors were really good. Old fashioned style shop, with good quality ice cream. The smells of waffle cones inside were also really nice. Good spot! Just really busy on summer nights.
Kind of a St Paul icon these days. High quality ice cream on a very quintessential St Paul street and neighborhood. 30-ish options to choose from. The cookie monster was great blend of cookie dough and chopped up cookies. Green ice cream but not minty. The banana cream pie was very good. Minneaota stable for salted caramel is always a good option 1 scoop is a quite large by itself, but sugar, classic, waffle come options as well as just a cup or a waffle cup Take away ice cream options and some novelties in a freezer as well. If you are on Grand this is the ice cream 'fix' to go to!
I had a chocolate milkshake craving yesterday; I headed over to the Grand Ole Creamery (crossing a snowy Grand Ave) for the BEST shake ever from an establishment. The ice cream was scooped from the container to the blender with milk, whirred to creamy smoothness it could have been topped with whipped cream and a cherry but I passes. It was my first but on the repeat list.
Amazing place to get some ice cream! Taro and Pistachio flavor as a split single scoop was amazing, along with a Sunday and a malt for our group. It was way more than enough ice cream even as a single scoop! Both flavors were very delicious without being overpowering and the quality was great! Presidential even. The service was great and we got our order fairly quickly. 100% would return and excited to try more flavors next time!
