Every time we go here is just as great as the first time, if not better. Beer list: perfect balance of craft, local, domestics. Fried pickles, so good! not greasy like some places. Reuben, amazing. Salmon bulgogi, perfection. The people here are the best <3
We had been wanting to try this for a long time. Finally went and from cocktails to the entrees, all were amazing. I got a special, pan fried panko chicken w/3 cheese macaroni and cheese and roasted broccoli. My husband got the Reuben sandwich, he said it was the best he has had. We got to talk with the owner Mikey. It seems he and his wife are creating an atmosphere of a “cheers” type setting. Getting to know their customers. The hostess went out of her way to introduce us when she found out we were new. We sat at the bar and can’t wait to go back and try different things! Great experience
Hubs got the burger, he said it was okay. I went with the fish tacos, which were kind of cold and dry. Chips were stale. Great beers on tap, but avoid food. We were here last week and hoped it would get better. Waited for service sitting and checking out.
We tried G&G for the first time and we are glad we did. Each member of the staff made us feel welcome and helped make our experience enjoyable. Our appetizer, Bacon Wrapped Dates, arrived with 6 and we enjoyed the combination of all the flavors. That plate was spotless! I chose the NY Strip Steak. It was larger than I anticipated which doesn’t happen that much anymore and it was cooked medium perfectly. Underneath the steak was a generous portion of some of the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had, true story. The broccoli was even still warm. The house boss chose the Monte Cristo sandwich and loved it. We took a chance on a new place (for us) with a great Google rating and it paid off. Well done, see you again very soon.
I have never been more impressed about a bar/ restaurant in Gainesville than this place. The chef, Ed takes pride in making what he can from scratch and Mike, one of the owners is very approachable. This is what I've been looking for. It's also family friendly.
