Great place to try traditional Gujarati dishes, unlimited! It’s buffet style. We had 4-5 curries, 3 sweets, dal, kadhi, rice and various rotis including puran poli, thepla etc. of course chaas, pani puri etc. Quite a spread. Parking next to the building! Great service considering they were open for a month. Very reasonably priced! Harsh and his partner more than willing to accommodate our needs. Need to improve the servicing area and restrooms which I am sure they will. Great addition to foodie scene of Windsor!!
Absolutely delicious! As a true food lover and someone who enjoys exploring different cuisines, I must say Govardhan Restaurant really impressed me. The food is authentic, flavorful, and served fresh. The service was also friendly and efficient. Honestly, I don’t understand why some people are giving 1-star reviews. From my genuine experience, this place deserves much more appreciation. If you enjoy good food, you should definitely give this restaurant a try!
Govardhan Thal – Windsor If your heart and taste buds crave authentic Gujarati flavours, this is the place to be! From the very first bite, I knew I was in for something special — every flavour is on point, true to the roots of Gujarat. The full thali here is a complete journey — from appetizers to sweets and desserts, each item feels like it came straight from a Gujarati home kitchen. The farsan and street food combo? Absolutely divine! Every dish was perfectly balanced, rich in flavour, and served with love. A special shoutout to Harsh — your warm welcome and personal attention to every customer truly made the experience even more memorable. It’s rare to find service this genuine and heartfelt. I walked in hungry… and walked out fully satisfied, both in stomach and in soul. Keep up t
First time visitor - Overall, it was a good experience. Several food options available and it all tastes fresh. The dahi vada was not that great as it looked mushy, the fryums were also very oily. Rotli and thepla were freshly served so that was a plus point! Puran poli was made with oil so I didnt like it as much. The aunty serving the food was wonderful and always smiling! Suggestion - perhaps have a song going in the background, amps up the atmosphere!
I enjoyed a Gujarati unlimited thali where a wide variety of vegetarian dishes were served with generous, continuous refills. Highlights included khaman, seasonal vegetable shaak, udhiyo,Aam ras,hot rotis, pani puri and a sweet ending with gulab jamun. The service was attentive—staff promptly offered more food until you signal you're done. The food strikes a traditional balance of sweet‑savory‑spicy. Overall, great value for money—especially if you're hungry and appreciate homestyle Gujarati flavors.
