Gottesman Pool

My kids have been doing a swimming class this week and it's been super fun. Also one of the days I took off and stayed because it's been super light, very little ppl. Yes they have a lot of rules, very strict but once you adjust your mindset to that it is very enjoyable. I just sat in one of the lounge chairs and read my book while the kids enjoyed the pool. I took the pics from the outside since they don't allow electronics in the pool area. The pool is very nice

Highly Disappointing and terrible service. My kids (16, 16, 12, 8 all highly accomplished swimmers) were looking forward to a nice afternoon swim and were let down by the atrocious service from the “employees” here. We arrived, kids in swim suits and my husband in swim shorts. We told that we were not allowed to have our bag on the pool deck with us. I decided to wait outside. I was also not allowed in as I did not have my swimmers. My husband proceeded to enter with his shirt on and was told he was not allowed to take his light grey shirt in as it may get bleached. Pretty sure it’s not their concern if my husband’s shirt got bleached, that would be our decision. Oh but, what about the shorts/swimmers we are wearing in the pool? Gorgeous pool in serene surroundings, located by the Harlem Meer on E 110 St. Remember to bring a good lock (they check at the entrance) and leave the food at home. Overall a calm oasis in Central Park. Note: they close from 3pm - 4pm for a break before the evening session, plan your visit accordingly. There are no privacy partitions in the showers. You can make use of the bathrooms to change if you need some privacy. Bring flip-flops/sandals. It's just a good idea for public pools. To the architect/engineers: Please put drainage between the showers and lockers. The lockers keep collecting water.

The remodeling of the pool is beautiful however I arrive at the pool about 5 o’clock and it was closed No explanation. Nothing just the staff standing around talking and life guard just sitting and launching on the chairs not sure what was going on, but they had no answer tried calling the 212 number that they have on Google and it said that number was not in service like always poor service …. nothing‘s changed as always what a waste of payroll and staff just standing around doing nothing. They need to do better.

Amazing pool – clean, warm water, helpful staff, and no lines when we went (25 °C / 77 °F). Beautiful area with greenery, paths, and benches – a great new spot to just relax and enjoy the view.
