Gorham Public Library

After moving to Gorham from Dover a few months ago when I got married, I was so excited to find the library just a few houses down from my new home! I used to visit my local library daily, so having one so close felt like a little piece of home. While it’s smaller than what I was used to, it has a wonderful selection of books and two spacious rooms just for kids and teens. I especially love the unique kits you can borrow—everything from robot coding to bug catching! The librarian and volunteers have been so kind and helpful, always pointing me toward books and authors I might enjoy. Plus, the museum next door is a hidden gem for anyone interested in New Hampshire history. I’m so grateful to have this place in my new neighborhood.

Beautiful library with a wide variety of books, including some historical volumes about the area. The children's area is particularly nice. In the old part of town near a park with playground and easy walk to a wide variety of small shops and cafes. The locals gathered and whispered to each other catching up... one recovering from cancer now spends his days watching his grandchildren, another said she didn't like guns but she'd go ahead and take a gun safety course. I spent a couple good hours there. It's easy to feel comfortable in a strange place with such congenial company.

Love it here! My first time going in I got smiles from the front desk, walked in and noticed a specialized area for my little man to play and explore. After seeing some flyers posted about activities for kids I inquired for my 8 month old. Turns out the director has a child in the activity my son would be, so I was taken to meet her and she was very pleasant and easy going. Over all great atmosphere in that place and I will defiantly be taking my son more often!

Clean, bright library. I only explored the children's area, which had a really nice selection of toys, books, small tables and chairs, as well as adult sized rocking chairs. The bathroom was large and right off the children's area. Enjoyed a relaxing hour with toddler in tow.
