Customer Reviews
This Carnegie library was beautiful with 3 levels and glass walls on the top floor to overlook the main floor and the trees outside. There were cute yarn decorations on the trees and my boys loved the little amphitheater and children’s area.
So much more than books! Crafts, audio books, computers, and it's beautiful! It took me almost 3 years of living here before going and now I've been in twice in a week! Very nice people and atmosphere!
Super good place to read or using computers. There is all types of books range from novels to technical advance tool books, and magazines. Plus, super awesome staffs that will help you with anything you need. About the building structure, it’s amazingly beautiful. Definitely a good place for family or individuals to visit.
The building itself is incredibly historic and beautiful, but that's just about where the appeal stops. The library district which handles operations for this location is based out of Vancouver, WA. The distance between Goldendale library and the HQ library in Vancouver present a plethora of issues. Here are two massive ones: 1. The culture is completely different. This area of rural Washington's inhabitants are mainly conservative families, a massive majority of which are practicing Christians. So while the liberal, progressive 'vibe' and agenda may appeal to those visiting branches closer to Vancouver and Portland, it sticks out like a sore thumb at this location, and the locals are not happy with it. This also may have something to do with the librarians not being locals, but rather b
It's a very nice and quiet place to hang out at or do some homework if needed to. The workers are nice and polite and they're very helpful. I go there about 3 times a week maybe 2, and I find the place very calming and I always love going back. They also have a cool book selection to choose from.
