Golden Donut

Don’t get me wrong. It’s an amazing place to come to you. Owner is amazing and the other girls are amazing. Who work there but there’s this lady named Vantana. I don’t know if it’s the owner‘s daughter or who she is but I am the worst service I’ve ever had with her. She’s rude and I come here all the time and then she wants to start charging two dollars extra for the smallest amount of cream cheese when I could’ve gone to Starbucks and paid less for the little cup that they gave you of cream cheese I come here all the time almost every other day and I’ve never ever had them do that to me

I love golden donut. Donuts are always fresh and tasty. I gave service only four stars because there's a employee ⁸is always on her cell phone when she's trying to help me. But overall I recommend this donut shop to others.

It’s sad to see good things come to an end. We all knew the previous owners that made Golden Donut a staple in the Orcutt community. Friendly, sassy, always smiling even at 5:30am! I wish them all the best in their new endeavors. With that said, my go to donut shop is no longer. If anyone can suggest another one please do so. The plain old fashion didn’t have the same look, texture or flavor. There is a slightly bitter aftertaste instead of that sugary sensation. The chocolate bar as well has shrunk about a 1/2 inch or so and not as dense. I’m sure even the old timers and loyal customers have noticed the absence of the owners. The new owners just want to churn out their donuts without considering what made Golden Donut a nice, friendly and welcoming place to visit: their customers.

Tasty donuts. No donut holes the day I visited. $1.75 for the large sugar/cinnamon covered donut every bit as good as a bakery pastry for a lot more $.

Place has been around forever in town and is always good. Definitely a must try especially the chocolate bar
