Golden Chick

The “chicken” tenders were about as thick as a pencil, burnt, and completely inedible. My husband had already eaten a few fries before I took the picture, but even then, the portion size for nearly $12/meal is insane. The rolls don’t taste good anymore either, they’re clearly frozen and probably microwaved. My 2 year old wouldn’t touch the fries or the mac and cheese, which honestly says everything. The Lotta Zing “sauce” now just tastes like mayo with a couple of seasonings thrown in. I don’t know if we caught this place on an off night or what, (there was no one in the drive thru and 2 cars in the parking lot) but we won’t be returning. Spending $30 for two meals and an extra side is already outrageous, but getting food this bad on top of it makes it even worse.

Ordered 2 meals, one with catfish other with shrimp. $27. Ok. There is a lot of breading on both of those items so not much that was actually fish or shrimp. The coleslaw was cabbage mix with mostly vinegar, and nothing else. Even with the vingar, the cabbage was pretty dry and really not tasty. The French fries were old, dry and tough. One roll was also dry, other was ok.

The management and the staff are all top notch. I stopped here for lunch while on an out of town work trip, and the staff was gracious and kind. The chicken tenders were incredibly fresh and delicious, and the dirty rice was spot on. I will definitely stop here again if I find myself in mineral wells looking for food.

Excellent customer service on 11/17/25 at 7:30 pm. Had laryngitis couldn't order from intercom; employee aloud me to order from window and was very kind while I whispered my order. Food was hot and tasty. Thank you for your patience and kindness.

Walked in to get some tenders service was absolutly great the food was spectacular denis and mikey had wonderful atitiudethe general manager preston treating employees very well food was fresh especialy the tenders 10/10 would recommend.!!!
